Hellow,
I had quit the weekend ^^
I cant begin to describe I how I enjoyed it.
Lets just have a quick overview about what happened.
Friday 12/12 = I went to the movie with my hun. We went to see Madagascar 2. We were just a bit scared that it would be a copy of the first one. But luckily that wasnt the case ^^.
The humour remains as funny as the first movie and the story is also very good. Especially Moto Motos song is hilarious!
To see a part of it I direct you to this link :

Have fun watching it!
Saturday 13/12 = Today we are getting ready to go to Hof ter Lo, to Filth Fest.
We were supposed to go together with a friend of mine (Sepp) and his girlfriend, who specially flew over from Australia to see Cradle and Moonspell.
But after waiting half an hour and freezing our ass off we went inside, sadly we didnt see them that evening.
Even sending them a message isnt an option because I always got a message that the sending failed.
And now for the line-up of that evening:
The evening starts with Azrai, a Dutch group of a Belgian, dont really know. Anyway, they had did a good job performing although I didnt see or hear a lot of them. This due to the fact that I was looking through the merch stands.
After Azrai came Sceptic Flesh. Again, not much to write about them either.
It was like I was mentally not there, but I do recall something of good music.
And then we have Moonspell.
One of the bands I was looking forward to.
I had seen them on Graspop 08 and did like their music a lot

There was a lot of atmosphere on the stage and the beautiful projection added another level to the atmosphere. The group was better than what I remember of them on Graspop, so that is always a good thing ^^
And then we have Gorgoroth *sigh*
Suddenly I see the place filling with all kinds of Death Metal people and with them 4 gigantic crosses on stage.
4 naked people, 2 girls, 2 guys come on the stage and take place on the crosses.
Unfortunately most of my attention went to these 4 characters.
The music was kind of good, only in my ears it seemed that every song sounded like the previous one.
Their big home made pins were sticking out in every direction. And I was thinking by myself that the worst thing that could happen now is if they would decide to give me a big hug.
I was really surprised by the lack of interaction with the public.
They come on the stage, started playing without speaking one word and just as I thought that their song was ridiculous long they went off stage.
The singer was someone who caught my eye once in a while, mostly out of astonishment.
He didnt say a word to the audience and the only interaction was that when he wasnt singing he stood in front of the audience with one arm forward, just standing there. Doing nothing.
Strange, very strange.
So naturally I was glad their performance was over.
And then, the band we were waiting for ^^ Cradle of Filth
With a nice cemetery looking background they entered the stage.
And what did you expect? When Danni came up there was suspiciously much female yelling.
They played a nice set with some tracks from their new album.
It was good to hear every album being represented by a song.
And with the comments of Danni and his usual his one is entitled.
Anyway I was a very pleased human when they left the set ^^
After a successful evening we end the day with a visit to the night shop and a movie at my place.
Sunday 14/12= To me thé big day.
We stay in bed for a long time, until its almost noon, get op to eat something and watch Dracula 3.
After that we get ready to go as I get a phone call from one of my best friends. Machine head wont be playing tonight, bugger.
Their guitarist fainted or something, with the consequence that the rest of their tour is being cancelled. Not such a disaster, but still bugger.
When we arrive at the concert hall (Lotto Arena) what do I see? A line of people as far as the eye can see.
Luckily we knew some people who knew people, so It took us about 20 minutes to get in, wonderful ^^
Once we entered we purchase our slipknot t-shirt and move on to find a place to stand or to sit.
Apparently we will be sitting all the standing places are already taken. But we have a perfect overlook and we arent seated properly as the first sounds of COB rise up. And immediately the first mosh pit is being formed, of which more will follow.
Their set takes about an hour and I along with many others are enjoying it with every fibre in our body. Their interaction with the public is good and they ask the audience for a big applause for Machine Head who arent here tonight.
Their set was really good and I think I share that opinion with almost the whole crowd.
And now, the main band for tonight.
The curtains close and the huge flag of COB disappears and the logo of Slipknot emerges.
After half an hour the lights go out and the public freaks out. Including my neighbour who begins to scream and roar like a beast.
My heart is racing and without knowing I squeeze my boyfriends hand.
The curtains open and the audience begins to scream even louder.
The first few tracks are from their first albums, what is nice to hear.
They play their 2 singles from the new album what is more as enough for me ^^
No lack of interaction with the audience and the nine enjoy their concert by hitting everything with everything and running around like madmen.
The background changed 3 times what was also interesting and with a lot that was going on on stage it was hard to notice everything.
And of course the atmosphere was sky rocking when they set in the tunes of spit it out.
The crown willingly sat down. Get the fuck down and jump the fuck up when I say jump the fuck up
They make the announcement that their first album will be celebrating its 10th anniversary next year and that they will be back sooner than we think.
What is a delight to hear since their have been rumours that the band was going to split up.
They end their set pretty early witch is a shame, but strange enough the lights dont go on.
Suddenly I see that the décor is once again changing and as soon as I understand what it means the crown does that too and starts screaming.
They play another 3 tracks that the public sings along and surrenders at the music.
With the last notes a part of the nine gets in the centre of the stages and take a bow.
A perfect evening to end a perfect weekend
